Eric Robertson (drums, co-composition)

Eric has performed in a variety of musical venues, including big band, straight-ahead jazz and hard rock. A 1992 Heidelberg College graduate in Music, Eric performed in both large and small ensembles playing many different percussion instruments with focus on marimba, snare and drum kit. Eric is especially proud of playing with the Heidelberg Singing Collegians, an ensemble of singers and dancers performing a mix of Broadway and Vaudeville show tunes.

In the last 15 years, Eric has focused on drum kit, playing several forms jazz, latin, fusion and rock. In 1992, Eric worked with the fusion group Seventh Voyage, writing music based on the works of Chick Corea's Return to Forever. In 1994, Eric left Seventh Voyage and joined both the Richard Walton Group and the Down Time Quintet. Between 1995 and 2000, Eric performed with Richard in the rock trio, BOINK, whose music is featured on the Maryland Music Monthly's compilation CD. Between 2000 and 2005, Eric played with the latin/jazz quintet, Cadence. In 2004, Eric began playing popular Christian music with several churches within the Northern Virginia area. Eric can be seen worshiping regularly as the drummer with Pender Methodist Church. In 2007, Eric joined the the Fairfax Swing Band. Most recently, Eric joined Decades, an ensemble of some of DC's top musicians including a fantastic horns section, to play music from 1920's through today's notable country and rock artists.

Eric continues to work diligently with the Richard Walton Group as a performer, award-wining co-writer and recording artist. Eric's soulful playing, arranging and writing can heard on the group's latest releases, "Junction", "Where Time Stood Still", "Hear And Now" and "Live At Blues Alley".
