Straight On Red formed when award winning songwriters/recording artists Richard Walton & Drew Davidsen branched out from the contemporary jazz genre of The Richard Walton Group with accomplished violinist/composer/singer Tecla Walton. Eventually, Drew left for a successful solo career, then seasoned percussionist Kevin Doxzen joined the group. They released their critically acclaimed, self titled debut EP CD in 2008 that sold out very quickly. Straight On Red combines elements of a wide variety of musical backgrounds; encompassing 60 years of collective performing experience between them. Their improvisational live performances have captivated audiences and seasoned studio work have firmly established themselves in the Mid-Atlantic region.
